These services are free to a child who is determine eligible under NC guidelines of the IDEA Act and has an active IEP (Individual Education Plan) If you know of someone who may need these services, please call our office to begin a referral. We can assist families in providing available assessments to determine potential delays.
Every year our Speech Pathologists visit local day cares in the county to help assess children to determine eligibility for speech/language services. If you would like to have your child screened, please contact Central Davie at any time during our offices hours 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Referrals are received and procedures are followed to access proper screenings and evaluations for eligibility determination to access our exceptional children services. Services can be administered within an early childhood environment, the home, a developmental day center, a public school setting, or another setting determined to be the least restrictive learning environment for the child. Once the child turns four, we assist the parents through the transition process to school age services.
